Basic Design Principles

You want those who visit your site to enjoy their stay, return again, and feel comfortable purchasing products from/through you. Make sure your website has:

A clean design that loads quickly and is easy to navigate (links to home, site map, and similar pages on each page)
Interesting and useful information
Uniform format and color scheme on all pages

Keep in mind that many of your customers may not be entering your site from the home page

Elements to Include

All Entrepreneurial sites should include a:

Home Page
Site Map
Information about you/your company

Policy Statement
Contact Information

FAQs
Links to similar sites
Pages with site content

(For elements online stores should include see Set-Up)

These elements can be combined (ie. the combination of the site map and home page for this site), and obviously you can make the pages something of your own (ie. make the FAQ page an image map or poll).

Be creative, have fun, update often, and make your customer want to return again and again.
